Pevonia Stem Cells Phyto – Elite Product Line and Skincare Review

Pevonia is a skincare line created with natural ingredients that can be found at your local spa.  I’m a skincare fanatic and had the opportunity to review Pevonia Stem Cells Phyto – Elite Foaming Cleanser, Intensive Serum, and Intensive Cream.

Pevonia

To start, the actual product container arrived in a beautiful gold/black bottle which looks very pretty and gives the appearance of luxury.  When using this product line, the company suggests starting with:

1.  Multi – Active Foaming Cleanser:  one – step formula to cleanse and tone

2.  Intensive Serum:  protecting and energizing skin cells

3.  Intensive Cream:  smoothes lines and wrinkles; hydrates the skin

This skincare collection left my face feeling hydrated with a radiate glow.  I also loved the smell of the foaming cleanser (during application) and made me eager to see my skin for results.  To be honest, the intensive cream is one the best face creams that I’ve ever used with my daily routine.

I suggest when having skincare problems to start a new regimen but most importantly use quality products that will meet your individual needs. Pevonia is the perfect product line because the company allows you to address your skincare concerns and customers can make their selections according to the product type, product list, and starter kits.  Visit their website or local day spa for Pevonia products.

New York Fashion Week Beauty Life Savers: What’s In Their Bag

It’s no secret that the new collections and upcoming trends take center stage at New York Fashion Week. However, the beauty looks seen on the runways are statement-making in their own right and set the stage for trends to follow. To achieve the perfect look, it is key for stylists to turn to key trusted products. Here are a few items that they can’t live without during Fashion Week:

unnamed

Supersmile Quikee: Let’s not forget about one of the most important accessories for a model: her smile! This pocket-sized, no brush/no rinse whitening tooth polish, now with more whitening power and a fresh icy mint flavor, effectively removes stains, significantly whitens teeth and freshens breath. Perfect for a backstage smile tune-up, the Quikee ensures all models are ready for their close-up! ($18.00 at supersmilestore.com)

G.M. Collin Anti-Aging Instant Radiance Eye Patches: Provides quick relief from tired, stressed out eyes, and immediately reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness and fatigue. Place one pad over each eye in between shows or in a cab when headed to event. The unique mixture of active ingredients sink into the skin, leaving the eye area hydrated and rejuvenated. The ultimate 20-minute vacation for eyes! ($50, GMCollin.com and Spa Locations)

Sebamed Hand & Nail Balm: A great way to keep hands hydrated and a longer lasting manicure. Developed by dermatologists, this mild, deep-moisturizing formula relieves dry, chapped hands and naturally maintains the strength of nails against breakage, while keratin promotes natural firmness and elasticity. Apply before, during and after each show to keep hands soft throughout fashion week! ($12.99, SebamedUSA.com)

Gabrielle Union – Regal Photos of The Bride

Truthfully, I’ve waited for the release of #thewadeunion photos because I knew that Gabrielle Union would be a beautiful bride.

She’s giving us regal glamour in the picture above with beach wave hair, diamond earrings, and a heart shape gown. And looks severely “hot” in the jumpsuit below!

Palmers Products: Beauty Buys to Combat Hair & Skin

Let’s talk about beauty products you need to have in your life! As several of you may not know, I suffer from dry skin…all year long. I am constantly searching for something to help combat my never ending skin care issues.

I was contacted to try Palmer’s new products, ranging from dry mist oil to spray lotion. I have a history of using Palmer’s throughout my pregnancy and for minor blemishes. Eager to open my box, this package lived up to my expectations and more!

But it wasn’t just about the packaging, every product was outstanding and I have three favorites: Rapid Spray Moisture Lotion, Cocoa Butter Formula Heel Repair, and Skin Therapy Oil.

The Rapid Spray Lotion definitely comes in handy when you’re busy and need to apply lotion quickly. And you can carry this bottle in your tote if you need to re-apply. After trying another brand’s spray lotion, I personally feel this is the better option because it lasts longer and makes the skin glow due to having Vitamin E, Cocoa Butter, and Aloe.

The Cocoa Butter Heel Repair can also be used in between pedicures and with your nightly beauty routine along with the Skin Therapy Oil (for your face) but I’ve also applied this to other skin blemishes.

To purchase Palmer’s products, visit your local drugstore or online at Palmer’s.com

Look Good Feel Better Program Celebrates 25th Anniversary: Beauty Techniques Helping Women in Cancer Treatment

If you or someone close to you has been impacted by cancer, you know that the appearance changes women undergo while coping with cancer treatment – like beauty itself – are far more than skin deep. These changes can impact a woman’s self-esteem and sense of self at a time when she needs it the most. Twenty-five years ago, one doctor decided to make a difference. When a patient wouldn’t leave her hospital bed because of her appearance following cancer treatment, he made a phone call to a friend in the beauty industry. Look Good Feel Better was born.

lookgoodfeelbetter

The Look Good Feel Better program offers free workshops that teach beauty techniques to help women cope with the appearance side effects of cancer treatment; thereby giving them self-confidence and helping them regain some normalcy in a life that is by no means normal.

  • Look Good Feel Better has helped nearly 900,000 people with cancer the U.S. and nearly 1,500,000 people around the world.
  • In the United States alone, the program now offers 15,800 group workshops nationwide in 2,400 locations.
  • It is supported by 262 companies, most of whom are affiliated with the cosmetics industry, who provide financial, product and in-kind donations.  Author and breast cancer survivor Geralyn Lucas and beauty expert and 25-year Look Good Feel Better volunteer Linda Whitehurst talked to us about the program and 25th-year celebration.

Look Good Feel Better is a collaboration of the Personal Care Products Council Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the Professional Beauty Association.

Like all Quirky products, Zen Cosmetics was invented and influenced by real people like you. Edwin Van de Bospoort is an industrial product designer by education, but spends his days designing interfaces. After opening a junk drawer under his table he found a puzzling mess of pens, batteries, and randomness. He invented Pen Zen to help him and his coworkers keep their desks a little cooler, calmer, and more collected. Its popularity sparked a makeover: Zen Cosmetics.

“A major look of the evening was floral,” shared Denise. “It’s one of my favorite key trends of the season! It’s refreshing and also a mood booster. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns. Style + Life + Fashion had the opportunity to attend the event being nominated for the Fashion Media Category.  I was surprised to be placed on the ballot (for a second consecutive year) because I only had plans to attend as a media source.  Once I received the email confirmation I was very excited to be amongst such a talented list of bloggers.

Jaslene Gonzalez from America’s Top Model served as the host for this year’s event.  She was seen wearing a beautiful red asymmetrical gown, created by local fashion designer B. Descai with an additional black, sequin, and green dress selected by fashion stylist Thea Washington.  Jaslene looked stunning and did a wonderful job of engaging the audience.

What I love the most about attending any fashion event is the creativity and talent that’s circulating in the room.  From face masks to custom design apparel, everyone came out to be seen and noticed.  The evening continued with a variety of performances between the nominee categories and recognition was given to those with a flair for beauty, fashion, and the arts.  In the honorary words of the Fashion Awards MD, we should strive to “Inspire and Be Inspired.”
