  1. Make sure you’re washing your face up to your hairline, especially if you’re not washing your hair daily. Hair products like dry shampoo or silicone-based anti-frizz products can clog pores along your hairline.

  1. Change your pillowcase regularly (at least 1-2 times a week). Your face is essentially resting on a bed of hair product and sweat and other bacteria overnight. If you’re low on pillowcases, take an unused tee shirt and put it over the pillow.

  1. Toner HAS to be a part of your skincare routine. It removes any residue or grime that your cleanser misses and is essential for those with oily or acne prone skin.
