Badgley Mischka, the iconic American design house that exemplifies timeless glamour, debuted its spring 2023 collection at Spring  Studios on September 11th at 3:00 PM EST. This latest collection draws its inspiration from Mark Badgley and James’ Mischka recent travels to Morocco and celebrates the captivating allure and magic of the fabled Marrakesh and the city of Casablanca, which they had imagined so many times.

 

“Spring 2023 is about building bridges and forging alliances.  After two long years of staying in place, we were finally able to put our feet on the ground of a distant shore,” said Mark Badgley.

 

James Mischka added, “We brought back colors, smells, and experiences from the Medina and the Casbah, burnishing them to a cosmopolitan polish. We partnered with some of Casablanca’s famous workrooms to create embroideries and gowns inspired by tales of the desert and the sea, making them perfect for glamorous evenings in Beverly Hills or London.”

 

“Our print studios created artwork from our descriptions of the spices, the fruit, and the flowers we discovered, and brought them home. GMA3: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW’ HEADS TO NEW ORLEANS 

To kick off this year’s ESSENCE Festival of Culture™ presented by Coca-Cola®, ABC News’ “GMA3: What You Need to Know” co-anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes and ABC News Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Jen Ashton will host a special broadcast originating from the heart of New Orleans at Brennan’s in the French Quarter.

The show will also give viewers a look back at the history and beginnings of ESSENCE Fest and detail how it became the massive celebration of Black culture it is today with ESSENCE CEO Caroline Wanga.

It also needs to fit into your personal needs from exercise to a night out. And the hardest part just might be finding your correct size! Below are some of the most common myths and what you really need to know when building a lingerie wardrobe.

MYTH: It’s okay not to wear a bra at all

This is a somewhat controversial topic, but most experts will agree that it’s a good idea to wear a bra. A bra offers support and can take off the strain on your back and overall posture. If the root of not wanting to wear a bra is comfort, look for a soft yet supportive style like a bralette or one of the many wire free options.

MYTH: Straps provide all of a bra’s support

This is a big misconception and completely false. The majority of a bra’s support should come from the band and not the straps. If your bra is uncomfortable because the straps are sliding off or are digging into your shoulders, go down a band size and up a cup size or even two. MYTH: Never wash your bra in the laundry machine

While some may recommend hand washing your lingerie, you can put your bras in the laundry provided that you do so carefully. Use a lingerie bag and make sure that you close the bra so that the hooks don’t catch on anything. Never put your bra in the dryer since heat will harm the spandex or other stretch fiber.
