Malan Breton AW 18 Collection #NYFW

Renowned for his innate theatricality and artistic flavor, Malan Breton delivers a collection with depth, soul, and literary references. Inspiration derived from Edwardian Tarot, Merlin, Chinese astrology and The myth of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. The four riders are seen as symbolizing Conquest, War, Famine, and Death.
“This collection has been a journey of self-realization, a point of gaining ones hope back in humanity. Rebuilding one’s shell, one’s armour, one’s heart. Love lost, valour, and watching gluttony, and greed change humanity for the worst….” – Malan Breton
Malan’s work echoes his deepest personal preoccupations. With that, this fighting collection was built with the structure of strength in mind. Calculated decadence, rendered in a split between strong and seductive; the epitomisation of femininity.
Staying true to his Asian roots, opulent color and exotic Swarovski embellishment reaches its apotheosis in this hair-raising debouch of pieces. All mastered by antique Asian techniques of weaving, embroidery and dying.
Fabrics used are all things chinoiserie-inspired; silk organza, silk tulle, silk brocade, reimagined kimono fabrics specially woven as well as Chinese brocades. Toughened by shearling, leather, tweed, Angora, feathers, glass beading and tourmaline. Malan sticks with his sustainable elements of recycled bottles created into paillettes.
Not for the faint-hearted, this collection stands firm for battle.

Malan Breton Presents Spring Collection 2016: NYFW

During the inaugural New York Fashion Week, internationally acclaimed fashion designer Malan Breton presents a collection for man, and woman inspired by his recent travels to Taiwan’s, Sun Moon Lake.

As a partner to the country of Taiwan, Malan Breton‘s collections have received critical acclaim in the mainstream fashion media. This season Malan Breton continues his Journey to Taiwan series with a collection called “Reflections”.

This fashion week with Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Breton will incorporate visual elements drawing from his rich background in the arts. The collection will incorporate traditional Taiwanese dying techniques, embroideries, silks, and fibers that will bring this eastern inspired collection into a modern western silhouette.

The show will also incorporate live music, and the use of modern technology to build upon this already stunning story of one of the most inspiring places in the world Sun Moon Lake. Presented at Style Fashion Week, the collections final touches will be added by Malan Breton’s hair partner Ecru New York, with tattoos by Black Lace Skin Jewelry.

The show will be a multimedia spectacular set to the pace of New York Fashion weeks Spring Summer 2016 collections. This season reflect with us on the beauty of this beautiful collaboration.

Malan has teamed up with cancer research charity, Sound Affects. In support of Sound Affects, he has donated a finale gown that will be auctioned off during his NYFW Wrap Party on the 15th.

We are proud that experienced, hands-on New York makeup artists weighed in on the development of our products to help empower the results that we deliver to women.”

The test panel was comprised of professional makeup artists based out of the New York City area, ranging in age between 25 and 35. Each makeup maestro embodies the New York Color brand culture and energy. New York Color believes in living vibrantly in color and style and creating the coolest new products in line with New York City Trends. The program kicked off with New York Color inviting this eclectic group of youthful, fashion-forward professional makeup artists, boasting experience and clientele, to evaluate New York Color products on themselves and a group of models. They were then asked to provide constructive and professional feedback on the products’ level of expert quality. The testing process was managed by the Coty Testing Institute.

The result was a beautifully crafted official “Developed With New York Makeup Artists” stamp of approval sealed on the final products reviewed by the artists. This endorsement reflects the New York Color brand’s true professional grade. The Makeup artists bring to the table rich experience in the fashion industry, backstage beauty at New York Fashion Week, advertising campaigns and television makeup application, in addition to sizable social media and blog followings. Glam Screen and Accessories by Jonathan Cheban: Take Your Selfies to The Next Level

It’s New York Fashion Week and what does that mean? We are taking selfies with our smart phone; asking our girlfriends, “how do I look” or searching for a mirror in our handbags. Those problems are solved with the new Glam Screen and Accessories, created by Jonathan Cheban from Keeping Up With The Kardashains.

Khloe Kardashian using her Glam Screen
Khloe Kardashian using her Glam Screen

To sum it up, Glam Screen is an HD Mirror Screen Protector that turns your cellphone into a mirror. And there’s several cute accessories like the Designer Button Stickers, Selfie Ring, and iPad HD Mirror Screen Protector. The days of taking a bad selfie ended with the creation of the Glam Screen Protector.

My Experience: The screen was very easy to put on and allowed me to take quality selfies!  Also, by using the selfie ring I was able to hold the phone upright, strike a pose, and smile for the camera.  See photos of my Glam Screen (and accessories) below – to order click on the link: Glam Screen
