Queenstown Premium Outlets new site for Size NorthAmerica

Queenstown Premium Outlets announced today a new way for shoppers to stop, save and support local military! Size NorthAmerica is the most extensive measurement survey project in North America and its newest scanning location opened for Queenstown Premium Outlets guests on Thursday, June 1. When participating in the survey, shoppers will have their body measurements and proportions taken to help create more accurate sizing for service men and women’s uniforms. This new comprehensive survey is designed to capture changes in recent years for more precise fittings and enhanced comfort. Data is being collected across the United States and Canada from 18,000 men, women and children to create new measurement standards.

Open to shoppers ages six to 75, participants will be scanned in four different postures to ensure accuracy. Garments required for the scan will be provided by Size NorthAmerica, courtesy of Hanes Brands. As a special thank you, patrons will also have a chance to save with coupons and gift cards, including Queenstown Premium Outlets’ top brands, including adidas, Gap Factory, Hanes Brands and VF Outlet.

“We’re honored to be part of this monumental campaign, as it benefits troops nationally, including those from right here at home,” said Patricia Cahall, general manager of Queenstown Premium Outlets. “It’s a win-win: shoppers donate a few minutes for the betterment of the military and are rewarded with savings on the season’s stylish looks for a variety of our sought-after brands!”

With the help of innovative private software, data obtained will be stored anonymously and then processed to meet the demands of the military apparel industry, as well as automotive, retail and other equipment related industries. North American body measurements and proportions have changed considerably in recent decades, as has the demographic structure of the U.S. and Canada. The anthropometric data and standard size tables that are currently available derive from old data and can therefore only help the industry in a limited way.

“Every man, woman and child between the ages of six to 75 is welcomed and encouraged to participate in the survey,” says Tim Guenzel, project manager for Size NorthAmerica at Human Solutions of North America, Inc. “We are looking for volunteers who are willing to be measured using our state-of-the-art 3D body scanners. The data collected will be used to develop up-to-date size tables for the apparel industry and virtual body mannequins for the automotive industry.”

The Size NorthAmerica survey is powered by Human Solutions, which has almost 20 years of experience in the field of body measurements, along with an expert team of ergonomics and anthropometrical specialists. This globally powerful technology has proven itself during large serial measurement surveys in Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, China, Spain and many other countries. With the help of Queenstown Premium Outlet shoppers, this confidential survey initiative is expected to garner wide participation and provide the country’s bravest men and women with improved technology, apparel and equipment.

Queenstown Premium Outlets – Coach Renovation

Queenstown Premium Outlets management is pleased to announce that Coach, one of the center’s many premium stores offering daily savings of 25-65 percent, is now open in a newly renovated space. Additionally, as an added convenience to shoppers, the center now boasts new cell phone charging stations, further enhancing the superior guest experience at the outlet center. The charging stations, located near Yankee Candle and Kitchen Collection, are a free service and can hold up to 13 devices using a combination of USB cords and standard electric plugs. Guests are invited enjoy nearby seating while their devices reboot, as well as free Wi-Fi provided by many of the center’s retailers once they’re recharged.

Cahall noted, “Our goal is to continuously offer new amenities and experiences for our shoppers.” Cahall mentioned her team continually observes guests using their smart phones to register for their VIP Shopper Club, check-in to specific stores for deals, post photos of their shopping excursion, and stay in touch with friends and family. “These charging stations are just another way we can help our guests feel comfortable and make their shopping experience more efficient,” Cahall added.

Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, Hagerstown Premium Outlets,Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets, Queenstown Premium Outlets and St. Charles Towne Center today announced that they will be participating in a national engagement with Susan G. Komen® to support the fight against breast cancer, engaging employees, retailers and shoppers in ‘Mission Pink®’ events throughout the month of October.

“As an active member in this community, D.C.-area Simon centers provide an ideal backdrop for raising awareness and encouraging support in finding a cure for breast cancer, a disease we know affects many of our employees, retailers and shoppers every year,” said Todd Jerscheid, Fashion Centre at Pentagon City Director of Mall Marketing and Business Development.

For a $1 donation, any survivors, family members or friends can write their own message of strength on a foam board “brick” that will be added to the mall’s “Wall of Strength.” Shoppers are encouraged to snap a photo holding their own message in front of the “Wall of Strength” and share via social media using #WhatGivesYouStregnth.
  • Style Passes: During the entire month of October, shoppers can purchase a Style Pass Book containing retailer discounts at Simon Guest Services for $5 with 100 percent of these proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen.

Baltimore-area premium outlet center hosts Easter Egg Hunt for shoppers and their families

Queenstown, Md. – Hop down to Queenstown Premium Outlets for this egg-citing event! The Queen Anne’s County shopping destination is hosting its third annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children twelve and under are invited to make their way around the center to receive prize-filled eggs from stores with an egg decal in their front windows. Select eggs will have egg-tra special prize coupons in them redeemable in-store.

Shoppers and their families can also visit a complimentary craft table with stickers and coloring sheets. Perfect for a photo opportunity, a roaming Easter Bunny will be hopping his way around the center.
