Book Signing at Sobe Restaurant and Lounge

Ironically, August is National Romance Month and contemporary romance novelist, Keesha D. Fox, is aiming her cupid’s bow in the greater Washington Metropolitan area. On Thursday, August 18, Ms. Fox will hold a book signing event for her latest novel, Unthinkable, located at Sobe Restaurant and Lounge (10621 Greenbelt RD, Suite 201) in Lanham, MD from 4 PM – 8 PM.

The signing will consist of conversations surrounding love, relationships and its boundaries. Those in attendance will be treated or teased by the cocktail of the night, Cointreau Teese – known as the seductive mistress. Guests will be served complimentary passed hors d’oeuvres and delectable desserts throughout the evening.

When asked about love, romance and Unthinkable, Ms. Fox states, “Love is a feeling that grows over time. Love can be lost if not watered by romance, honesty and communication. However, the act of being romantic has to consist in one’s day-to-day relationship. Something as small as opening a car door or leaving a note can maintain a spark that’ll nourish a love affair for a span of over 20 years. I should know, I’ve been with my husband since I was 16 years old. Writing the Unthinkable series is a new affair, one with myself and my unapologetic and sometimes crazy thoughts.”

Unthinkable explores the life of Keena Robinson after her world is threatened by her overzealous co-worker and her loveless marriage begins to fall apart. To help distract Keena from the tragedies happening on the home front, her two best friends, Lisa and Jasmine, planned a two-week vacation to Sin City. Keena caught the eye of her celebrity crush, Chase Parker, on more than one occasion. What happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas, at least not this love affair.

On the second day of the Grand Opening it was a BBQ curated by the B2 Crew for the cool kids and their parents! Guests were able to take a peek into the edgy and fly fashions for kids, meet B2 (the cool son of the owners) and to enjoy the beautiful sunny weather Saturday afternoon. Also on site were the good folks of Whimsicle which is a gourmet fruit bar company based in Philadelphia.

Vino 301 Wine Concierge – Wine Tour for Alzheimer’s Research

Tour Ambassadors of Vino 301 Wine Concierge are raising their glasses to support of the Alzheimer’s Association with the sponsorship of a charitable wine tour to the Westminster Wine Region.

The event is scheduled for March 6, 2016 at 10:00 am, and will include tours to the Old Westminster Winery and Springfield Manor Winery. Many of the vineyards featured on the tour are grown in Bordeaux style. Lovers of Cabernet Franc, Pinot Grigio, or Vidal Blanc will especially relish this tantalizing treat.

According to statistics from the Alzheimer’s Association, there is an estimated 5.1 million people 65 years and older in the United States living with Alzheimer’s. Approximately 200,000 individuals below the age of 65 are afflicted with the disease.

Vino 301 Wine Concierge is the one of the latest sponsors to join forces with the organization in the fight against the disease. The company was asked to host the tour by a former tour guest, Ms. LeeAnn Charpentier, whose grandmother had the disease and died. LeeAnn wanted to do something to honor her grandmother’s memory and raise funds for Alzheimer’s research.

Discussing Vino 301 Wine Concierge’s response to Ms. Charpentier’s request, Managing Director of the company, Leslie Frelow said: “We thought it was a great idea and were eager to help. Ms Charpentier has been a tremendous supporter of Vino 301. We hope our contribution will further research for a cure for this debilitating disease.”
