Talk of Alabama Lifestyle Segment – Summer Beauty on a Budget

I was thrilled to visit Talk of Alabama and share beauty tips on a budget. With so many products in stores one has to ask, “are they budget-friendly?”

There’s also a misconception that one must spend hundreds of dollars to look amazing. This is not a true statement!

Beauty can be accomplished with a $10 purchase; we must use self-awareness and research our individual needs. For example, I suffer from eczema and constantly seeking products that will retain hydration and reduce skin irritation.

Loreal Root Cover Up – Beauty Tip

Let’s have a realistic conversation about our hair and color system. Personally, I am not 18 years old and have perfectly colored roots. Over the last few years I have noticed a few strands that are not pleasing to the eye (smile.) We can’t turn back the hands of time but we can definitely select a product that will benefit our beauty routine.

After reading Instyle Magazine I discovered that Loreal had a new product to help with this unsightly problem. The Loreal Root Coverup is said to cover up your roots in exactly 3 minutes. It’s a temporary gray concealer and perfect for in-between salon visits.

The product comes in six different shades and it’s for all hair types. It’s also stated to be lightweight, smudge proof, and peroxide free. I’m looking forward to testing the product on my hair to hide a few discolored strands!

Fall 2013 Beauty and Accessories Trends: Part I

From a blogger’s perspective, I always like to know what’s “hot” for the next upcoming season. And honestly, I do not consider myself to be “trendy” but I do believe in the concept of “refreshing” your wardrobe.

Life is too short to wear boring clothes (via my Instagram post) and dressing is a form of personal expression. It’s how you present yourself to the world and most importantly, it shows everyone how you feel about yourself.

My philosophy is that anyone can refresh their wardrobe without having to spend their life savings. A simple bracelet or new shade of lipstick can do wonders for your wardrobe, mood, or even your professional life.

I have to give credit to one of my favorite magazines, Instyle (I’ve been reading since I was a teenager) for telling us the new, runway inspired looks.

In conclusion, it’s fun and easy to select a trend but don’t forget that true style is making a look your own!
