Marc Anthony Dazzles Vanderpump Rules Beauties

With the holidays just around the corner, now is the time celebrities and A-listers turn to haircare icon Marc Anthony for his latest beauty inspirations. All the stars will be in alignment on November 1st as STAR magazine hosts an exclusive VIP event at a private New York salon, featuring Marc Anthony of Marc Anthony Cosmetics with Ariana Madrix and Scheana Shay of the hit Bravo TV series, Vanderpump Rules.

While the guest list is limited, the beauty and styling options are limitless. Marc Anthony and STAR magazine have collaborated to create, “The Fab Girls’ Guide to the Holidays” showcasing Marc Anthony True Professional® hair care products to help us all get ready for the holiday party circuit and keep the glam going all night long. “Nothing says holiday more than healthy hair that shines and my Argan Oil of Morocco Collection delivers endless shine,” says Marc Anthony.

The two Vanderpump Rules beauties are style mavens to millions and are fashion and beauty experts in their own right. “I can’t imagine making Ariana and Scheana more beautiful; they personify beauty,” Marc Anthony said. Ariana dyed part of her hair pink at OK! magazine’s Splat event in New York on October 5th to join in the effort to raise awareness for breast cancer this month. “The way Ariana pulled off that pink was brilliant and she can easily rehydrate her dyed hair with my Argan Oil of Morocco Deep Condition Treatment to get her hair back to perfection.  And let’s talk about Scheana’s gorgeous locks, I can’t wait to add a bit of a sexy evening look to her hair — a quick spritz of my Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Dry Styling Oil will keep her mane looking soft and shiny for days to come, Marc Anthony said.”

Get the Look: Priyanka Chopra 2016 Emmys

The 68th Annual Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Priyanka Chopra shined on the red carpet in her custom-made designer gown, and sleek yet chic twisted pony! Her go-to hairstylist Castillo used MOP haircare and ghd products to create this glamourous and sophisticated look.

“I started with a wash which is the foundation. I used MOP mixed greens shampoo ($20) and stuck with a moisturizing one to help her hair withstand humidity and heat from the tools.

Next I used MOP’s pear detangler ($22) and combed through her hair to untangle and minimize frizz. I added  MOP mixed greens leave-in conditioner from mid-shaft to the end to help coat any damage or dryness, then I added a bit of the MOP lemongrass lift ($22) root spray to help with setting the hair.

I rough blow-dried the hair using the ghd Air Hairdryer ($199) until it was about 80% dry, then brushed through it with the ghd Paddle Brush ($55) to take out any tangles.

With a tail comb I created the side part, then section by section I flat brush blow-dried the hair straight and then went back over each section with the ghd Platinum Styler ($249) from mid hair shaft to end.

Once I was done straightening, I took a dollop sized amount of MOP orange peel molding cream ($22) and coated root to mid hair shaft the side of her hair. I brushed it through with a finishing brush and then with a twisting motion I twisted it behind her ear and down the back of her neck.

I repeated this same technique, minus the twist and gathered her hair into a low ponytail, secured it with a hair bungee and wrapped a section of hair around the bungee to conceal it.

To finish, I made my final touches of MOP’s c-system firm hair spray ($24) around the hair line and around the ponytail.”

Angela Bassett Red Carpet Look – 68th Primetime Emmy Awards

fullsizerender-56

Angela Bassett was stunning during the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards. She presented the perfect element of glamour (on the red carpet) wearing a Christian Siriano gown.

The dress color (lemon) accented her skin complexion; along with a draped cut and plunging neckline.

Angela was poised, beautiful, and timeless.  She’s definitely my top selection for the Emmys 2016 celebrity style!

Cassie VMAS 2016 Red Carpet Look

Cassie graced the red carpet wearing a hot, new look for the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. The singer was seen in a Balmain Jacket and Gucci Metallic Leggings. Her accessories for the evening included a Gold Body Chain and Handbag.

The eye-opener was Cassie’s neon hair color; very fitting for the awards show red carpet!

Jill Scott Concert 2016 – Songstress and Poet

One of my favorite quotes is “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” by Eleanor Roosevelt.  This quote is significant in terms of goal setting and personal achievement.

Attending a Jill Scott concert was a goal on my personal to-do list.  Jill Scott is a soulful singer and her voice has a variety of range.  As a song-writer, her lyrics go beyond the surface; addressing topics that are realistic to listeners.

I was gifted a set of tickets from my brother (and sister-in-law) to take part in her performance at the Amphitheater located in Tuscaloosa.

Jill Scott’s concert pushed beyond the limits of watching a songstress to viewing a “seasoned” artist/poet.

She gave us relationship advice and shared reflections from her own life. The concert was amazing and I encourage anyone who’s a fan of her music to purchase tickets from ticketmaster.com
