GRAMMYS: Chrissy Teigen ‘Get The Look’

Step 1//SKIN:  Patrick prepped Chrissy Teigen’s face by washing it with La Mer The Refining Facial, prior to applying The Moisturizing Gel Cream to give her complexion a luminous and smooth base. Before any makeup, he added a poreless primer and hydrated her lips using La Mer Lip Balm.

Step 2//FACE:

  • Patrick used the Le Mer The Mist to cool down the face before applying foundation with oil to ensure an endless glow. Patrick used THE MAKEUP DROP to ensure that the foundation blended seamlessly into Chrissy’s skin. “I love using The Makeup Drop because it doesn’t waste any product.” – Patrick Ta
  • To highlight under the eyes, Patrick used La Mer concealer -two shades lighter- to bring light to the face using THE MAKEUP DROP’s tapered end to precisely blend under the eyes, before applying a translucent powder to hold the concealer in place and brighten.
  • Next, Patrick applied a highlighter to the high points of the cheekbones and blush to the apples of the cheeks in a bronzy pink shade before finishing the face with Sephora’s Translucent Powder and a setting spray.

Step 3//EYES: Patrick created a bold eye using Sephora Copper Rush 291, Lucky Penny 220 and Pearl 285, and a smudged black liner. Next, he curled Chrissy’s lashes and coated twice with black mascara and Mink Kiss Lashes in Little Black Dress.

Step 4://BROWS: To create a thicker brow Patrick used eyebrow pencil in a shade that was one shade lighter than Chrissy’s natural brows.

Step 5//LIPS: To complete the look, Patrick mixed Sephora Liquid Mattes in 23 and with Sephora 04 liner with a clear gloss to top it off.

Get The Look: Paris Jackson at the 2017 Grammy’s

Who: Paris Jackson at the 2017 Grammy Awards

The Look: Cool girl glam

The Inspiration:  Rimmel London Make-up Artist Jo Baker wanted to create a careful balance between Paris Jackson’s outfit and makeup. Paris wore a dazzling disco inspired Balmain jumpsuit in an array of pastel hues, with thigh high slits up each leg and a plunging neckline – so Jo opted to keep her makeup smooth and natural with subtle details.

How to Get the Look:

Skin

Jo wanted Paris’ skin to look flawless and healthy. After dotting Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer around her eyes, nose and mouth, Jo then applied a sheer coat of Rimmel London InstaFlawless Skin Tint to add a natural looking glow with smooth creamy finish. The result is a balanced, soft and radiant glow. InstaFlawless Skin Tint is perfect for this kind of event – it acts as a primer, smoothing the texture of the skin so that it sits pretty while also providing a much needed SPF15 for that mid-day LA heat!

Cheeks

Paris and Jo both love face sculpting! Jo used a contour that has a soft de-focusing finish so that when the camera light hits, it looks like beautiful skin and not a harsh stripy line. To create a subtle and undetectable sculpted look, Jo used a medium sized blush brush to apply Rimmel London Insta Flawless Matte Setting Powder to help apply an even contour and sculpt effect. Then, using her favorite Rimmel London Kate Sculpting & Highlighting Kit in Golden Sands, she applied smooth strokes of the contour shade from the sides of her mouth all the way up towards the top of her ears.

Eyes Jo loves Paris’ intense ice-blue eyes. So without hesitation, they opted for a natural and clean eyelid and concentrated on Paris’ lashes. She applied a generous amount of Rimmel London Scandaleyes Mascara for a long lasting mega volume effect. This mascara and applicator brush gives lashes a curl by pushing them up with each stroke.

Brows

Jo combed through her brows and added several strokes of Rimmel LondonProfessional Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown to fill in any gaps and give her strong, yet natural brows with a sharp angular look. Using the nifty brow comb, Jo repeated the process until her brows were the desired shape and fullness. The key to Paris’ brows are the razor tight line creating the arch, so Jo used her concealer brush with the leftover concealer on it to refine and define the edges to make sure it looked clean and dramatic.

Lips

To finish off the look, Jo lined her lips using Rimmel London Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Innocent which is a soft nude beige tone which even has a soft sheen to it. She kept it simple with her new favorite Rimmel London The Only 1 Matte in Trendsetter which is the perfect blend of warm and cool tones. For that perfect graceless nude that glides on creamy and feels super comfortable on the lip as well.

Grammys GTL: Demi Lovato and Tinashe with John Frieda Hair Care

For tonight’s 59th Annual Grammy Awards, Demi Lovato’s hair made a sultry statement.
Inspiration: Clyde was inspired by Demi’s sexy crocheted Julien McDonald gown to create long, loose mermaid waves

Step-by-step tips on how to recreate her look:

  • To start, apply a golf ball sized amount of John Frieda Frizz Ease  Dream Curls Air-Dry Waves Styling Foam section to section, from root to tip, throughout wet hair
  • For longer hair like Demi’s, apply product liberally to ensure hair is completely saturated with the foam
  • Allow hair to air dry–in this case, during the duration of makeup application–gently scrunching pieces during the drying process
  • Once dry, take a 3/4 inch curling iron and bend strategic pieces throughout the hair, enhancing and defining the waves but pulling them loose as they cool for an elongated finish
  • To add sheen and the appearance of a “wet” finish, pump two palm-fulls of John Frieda Frizz Ease Extra Strength Six Effects + Serum and work it through hair, leaving hair with a beautiful shiny finish to glisten under the lights on the red carpet and the stage

Marcia Hamilton styles Tinashe for the 2017 Grammys
On tonight’s Grammys red carpet, Tinashe’s hair says she is bold and unapologetic.
Inspiration: As Tinashe usually wears her hair down to perform, Marcia wanted something off her face and her shoulders for the red carpet–but edgier than the usual braid.

Step-by-step tips on how to recreate her look:

  • To prep below blowing dry, apply a cocktail of  John Frieda Frizz Ease Extra Strength Six Effects +  Serum  and John Frieda Frizz Ease Straight Fixation Styling Creme to wet hair
  • Blow dry hair straight almost entirely with a paddle brush, but concentrate on lifting hair at the roots but blowdrying with a round boar-bristly brush
  • If necessary, use a flatiron to give hair an even sleeker look, with exception of any face framing pieces
  • Pin two curls on either side of the head and let them set
  • Take a triangular piece of hair in the center of the back of the head, separate into two pieces and knot
  • Continue to pull pieces of hair from the sides of the head and knot in the back, creating a series of knots from the center of the head down the neck
  • After all hair as been gathered and knotted, twirl the bottom of the hair, twist it up and pin in the back
  • Release the pinned curls in the front of the head, brush them out, and finish by applying a light amount of John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Weapon Touch-Up Styling Creme

America’s Next Top Model Season 23 Episode 10 Recap

In the second challenge, contestants emulated women that have influenced Pop Culture, Fashion, and Entertainment.  Cory Anne struggled to take on Beyonce’s persona and Paige was expected to become Brittany Spears.  The most difficult persona was Tatiana becoming Tyra Banks, founder of the show.

During elimination, the panelist expressed that several of the contestants were “too comfortable” and wasn’t pleased with the photo results.

Paige was eliminated from the contest and Rita Ora stated, “This is not the end of your career as a model.”  Watch the full episode here: Platform Power

America’s Next Top Model Season 23 Episode 9 Recap

America’s Next Top Model Season 23 changed from its normal weekly schedule, airing on Wednesday nights. The change gave viewers the opportunity to catch-up on the challenge and select their favorite contestant.

“The Comeback” episode started with a subtle twist.  Panelist arranged for eliminated contestants to return for a chance to win the competition.  The challenge included contestants learning a set of dance steps for a video with French Montana.

All of the contestants worked hard to master the moves resulting in Justine fainting.  She was rushed to the hospital.  Kyle also returned to the competition and served as a distraction to Marissa.

Unfortunately, Marissa did not successfully perform the dance steps or model the costume.

The episode concluded with Marissa being eliminated from the competition.  Tash returned due to the panelist believing she has what it takes to become a top model.

AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL SEASON 23 – EPISODE 7 RECAP

Chris Grant, Beyonce’s choreographer paid a visit to America’s Next Top Model Season 23 contestants.  He taught them how to dance and pose like a model.  The movements came easier to some of the cast members while others struggled.

Tatiana won the dance challenge and became the new face for an upcoming campaign with Juicy Sport.  To build upon what they learned, the contestants were asked to use the same moves in a Gypsy Sport fashion video.

Marissa was short-tempered with Stacy Mckenzie and not very receptive to her assistance.  Her attitude was a reflection of negative model behavior.  Courtney also had an allergic reaction to the lipstick used during the challenge.
