New York Fashion Week Beauty Life Savers: What’s In Their Bag

It’s no secret that the new collections and upcoming trends take center stage at New York Fashion Week. However, the beauty looks seen on the runways are statement-making in their own right and set the stage for trends to follow. To achieve the perfect look, it is key for stylists to turn to key trusted products. Here are a few items that they can’t live without during Fashion Week:

unnamed

Supersmile Quikee: Let’s not forget about one of the most important accessories for a model: her smile! This pocket-sized, no brush/no rinse whitening tooth polish, now with more whitening power and a fresh icy mint flavor, effectively removes stains, significantly whitens teeth and freshens breath. Perfect for a backstage smile tune-up, the Quikee ensures all models are ready for their close-up! ($18.00 at supersmilestore.com)

Jane Iredale Zap & Hide Blemish Concealer: This dual-ended stick conceals and calms breakouts. Zap is a clear Blemish Balm packed with anti-inflammatory botanicals that may be used as a spot treatment day or night. Hide is a highly pigmented Blemish Concealer that camouflages imperfections and any post-breakout redness. ($26, shop.janeiredale.com)

G.M. Collin Anti-Aging Instant Radiance Eye Patches: Provides quick relief from tired, stressed out eyes, and immediately reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness and fatigue. Place one pad over each eye in between shows or in a cab when headed to event. The unique mixture of active ingredients sink into the skin, leaving the eye area hydrated and rejuvenated. The ultimate 20-minute vacation for eyes! ($50, GMCollin.com and Spa Locations)

Sebamed Hand & Nail Balm: A great way to keep hands hydrated and a longer lasting manicure. Developed by dermatologists, this mild, deep-moisturizing formula relieves dry, chapped hands and naturally maintains the strength of nails against breakage, while keratin promotes natural firmness and elasticity. Apply before, during and after each show to keep hands soft throughout fashion week! ($12.99, SebamedUSA.com)

Zen Cosmetics Makeup Organizer

Zen Cosmetics is a makeup organizer that makes primpin’ easy. Available on Quirky.com for $14.99, Zen Cosmetics was invented by Edwin Van de Bospoort of the Netherlands and marks Quirky’s first step into the beauty category.

Zen Cosmetics Makeup Organizer

Zen Cosmetics is a glamorous storage unit that’s designed to hold onto your beauty essentials. Its grippy silicone base accommodates primping tools of varying sizes, from brushes to pencils to tweezers. It’ll keep you looking your best and your counters clutter free. Decked out in an assortment of soft hues including grey, pink, teal, and coral, this is one organizer that doesn’t need to be hidden away. It looks flawless right out in the open.

Zen Cosmetics Makeup Organizer

Like all Quirky products, Zen Cosmetics was invented and influenced by real people like you. Edwin Van de Bospoort is an industrial product designer by education, but spends his days designing interfaces. After opening a junk drawer under his table he found a puzzling mess of pens, batteries, and randomness. He invented Pen Zen to help him and his coworkers keep their desks a little cooler, calmer, and more collected. Its popularity sparked a makeover: Zen Cosmetics.

Beyonce: The Fashion Chameleon – Achieve The Look

It’s no secret that Beyonce is a fashion chameleon. This woman can look glamorous wearing a sequin bodysuit (for shows) to dressing in street style with a hipster hat on Instagram.

To pull off a combination like the one below, the secret is to find a dominate color and select additional pieces within the same color family. Personally, I like eclectic design of the first look, mixing textures and prints. Bey also made this style sexy by cinching the waist with a belt.

The second and third photo gives us a lot of style and personality with garments in the same print (top and shorts) while adding a hat for quick style.  With simple accessories in our wardrobe such as hats, belts, and funky nail designs anyone can achieve this look – fashion is fun!

Angela Simmons – Giving Us Instagram Life

Angela Simmons gives us Instagram Life with her fashion-forward photos and creative style. She does a fabulous job mixing street glam with high couture. In my opinion, Angela is on her way to becoming a style icon.

Beauty Box 5 March Subscription Box – Tree Hunt Shea Body Butter Favorite

Beauty Box 5 sent this fabulous set of products in the mail. This month’s box included Jane’s Pick (handmade) Soap, Tree Hunt Shea Body Butter, Swisscom Dual-sided Facial Pad, Bellapierre Makeup Base, and Design Essentials Natural Curl Enhancing Mousse.

In every subscription box I have a product that’s my favorite and this month was no exception. My favorite item that I received was the Tree Hunt Shea Body Butter with a Coconut Lime scent.

I’ve tested Tree Hunt products before but when I opened this cream I feel in love! The smell is very “delicious” and the cream glides on nicely. I am completely sold on this product and now searching for the scrub (in the same scent.)

Overall, I am still in the process of using my Bellapierre Makeup Base but will probably test it out this weekend for my next lifestyle segment.

I am always eager to receive my Beauty Box 5 subscription in the mail because there’s a new theme every month and that’s pretty exciting for a beauty junkie!
