Gucci and Glamour: Plunging Neckline via Fashionising.com

“There are inherent risks with a plunging neckline, but I don’t think I need to spell out what they are. Suffice to say some are dangers of an aesthetic nature, where as others can concern a girl’s modesty. The plunging neckline is not for everyone. But there are ways to wear it that, for the willing, give it a sultry update as a fashion for fall 2011, and most certainly as an ongoing trend in spring 2012.

After the break we’ll take you through examples of the statement cut for the coming seasons, including a look at who’s designing it and how they’ve done it. And as always, you can keep up with all the latest trends and information on how to style them by subscribing to Fashionising.com’s newsletter.

Mother’s Day Gift Idea: Personalised luxury from Tiffany & Co. via Fashioninsing.com

Personalised luxury from Tiffany & Co.: “Posted in Fashion » Fashion Blog » Clothing » Accessories, Jewelry, Handbags

I’ve always found that the path to gifting someone a piece of ‘fashion’ is littered with complexities. As much as we’re told that ‘it’s the thought that counts’, each of us want to make sure that our gift does not come across as subpar. It’s not ego that makes that the case, rather our desire to show our love and appreciation. So it is that we seek out the gift whose quality is at least recognisable to the recipient, a desire which generally sees us contemplating gifts from the known fashion and jewellery houses. Houses whose reputation for doing things best precedes them. One problem solved.

That in itself raises another gifting complexity, however – how does one purchase something from such houses without forsaking the quality a gift for a loved one needs: individuality? The right marquee alone doesn’t say everything we need – the gift itself needs to be perfect for the individual.

With Mother’s Day looming it was this careful process required of gifting that my thoughts entertained as I made my way down Sydney’s George Street, pausing beneath various marquee emblazoned awnings to avoid the autumn rains before I entered the genial world of Tiffany & Co.

Revealed: Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress Is Done By Sarah Burton – Bornrich

Revealed: Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress Is Done By Sarah Burton – Bornrich

Few minutes before, Royal bride Kate Middleton stepped out of the Rolls Royce Phantom VI Landaulet and entered the Westminster Abbey. Her wedding dress was a big mystery and now, it’s been revealed. Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen has designed the wedding dress, which is an ivory gown with lace applique floral detail. The train of the dress measures just 2.7 meters. There is no word yet on the actual price of the Kate’s wedding dress. The skirt was handmade by the royal school of needlework at Hampton Court.

And at last, we know:

Catherine Middleton, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge, wore a nip-waisted, long-sleeved dress (Grace Kelly alert!) with sheer, cream-lace arms and a V-neckline over a form-fitting bodice; on her head, she wore a slim, feminine tiara, covered with a stunning scalloped-lace-edged veil. The skirt was full with a long train, with a ruffled bustle at the train’s top—but the fullness and train-length are notably scantier than those of Diana, whose cream-puff dress notably burst forth in crinkly fashion from that carriage 30 years ago. Catherine’s earrings were dangling, diamond-encrusted drops; her hair was swept off her face, but down in the back in loose curls around her lace-covered shoulders. Her bouquet was a humble, wildflower–esque green-and-white posey, and her attendants wore the same shade of creamy white.

T.I. – Hip-Hop Artist {Fashionable} Breakthrough with AKOO Clothing

Female hip-hop artist and athletes have held it down when it comes to being fashionable, for example Nicki Minaj, Queen Latifia, Venus and Serena Williams to name a few. But, when you consider male hip-hop artist and athletes, a number of things come to mind and one must add fashionably conscious to that list!

Now, more and more male rappers and athletes are becoming more concerned with their image and a few are becoming the go-to-guides for what to wear and what not to wear. Hip Hop mogul T.I. and Grand Hustle Entertainment CEO, Jason Geter, founders of AKOO, are the perfect examples of artist moving towards a more polished, refined and overall debonair look.

H&M to Launch Online Shopping

For those that have missed it, H&M has launched their new online shopping website! This is 100% Diva-licious, especially since it’s one of my favorite “trendy” stores. Click on the link below to start shopping online…

H&M to Launch Online Shopping

The chain won’t launch e-commerce for another year, and Racked wonders if this means the U.S. will have access to the label’s plus-size line called Inclusive; however, Jezebel notes that the line is a one-off (so when it sells out, it’s gone) and currently only available online to people in European shipping zones. On the upside, H&M’s e-shop may have a pivotal effect on how ravenous fans navigate shopping the designer collaboration collections. We could wait in line in front of our computer all day if we had to, to shop those. It’s not like we even have a choice about that.
