Charm City Cupcakes: Gourmet and Delicious

Yesterday I enjoyed a local delight – as I was visiting my husband’s law office located at 300 East Lombard Street, I discovered that Charm City Cupcakes was also a tenant in the building.

This award winning bakery has three locations in the Baltimore area: Lombard Street, Mt Washington Mill and Smith Avenue.  With a variety of designs and flavors, the cupcakes are baked fresh daily which explains the superb taste.

I was pleasantly surprised as I bit into my double chocolate cupcake because both the icing and cake was delicious!  I also noticed that a few of the cupcakes have names that are specific to the state of Maryland such as Black Eye Susan, Baltimore Black Bottom, and Pimlico.

Kim Presents Dress for Success Workshop

Today I presented for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Upsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter, 2014 Cotillion Program: Dress for Success Workshop.

It was a pleasure facilitating the workshop for young ladies in the Baltimore County area. Topics that were covered included professional dress, proper grooming tips, and the importance of having self confidence.

NBC WBAL-TV Segment with CureDiva.com

I was asked to visit NBC’s WBAL to talk about the lifestyle brand CureDiva.com This project was close to my heart because of the number of women (we know and love) who have had to undergo cancer.  Often times when they’re in this situation, they are facing several physical battles such as hot flashes, weakening nails, or hair loss.  CureDiva.com is platform for women to not only wear fashionable accessories before, during, and after their treatment but it’s also a community for women to discuss issues that are centered around the illness.

The products I featured where the Acquarella Nail System, Travel Purse with Ice Pack, and a Fancy Hands Fan.  Each product serves a purpose, for example the Travel Purse Ice Pack helps women with hot flashes (as a mini cooler.)

In addition to sharing the products with local viewers, I decided to wear the color pink to support the brand.

Confusing Baltimore Weather and Confusing Fashion

With the Baltimore area going from beautiful, sunny and warm BUT— back to cold and snowy, we decided to have a little fun by mixing two ends of the fashion weather spectrum by matching a high waist bathing suit with a fox fur coat and UGG boots!!! I had so much fun doing this shoot!

Fashion Awards Maryland Emerging Nominee Awards 2014

On this evening, Baltimore’s best and brightest emerging fashion leaders are being recognized at the Fashion Awards Maryland, Emerging Nominee Awards 2014.  The event was held at The Lord Baltimore Hotel near the Inner Harbor.  As the event unfolds, I will continue to post updates.
My outfit: (1) Tailored black leather spiked motorcycle jacket; (2) Black pencil skirt; and (3) Shoes by Christian Louboutin
WBAL’s Ava Marie served as the event host.  The awards show started with a fabulous presentation (as seen above) making guest excited and engaging with the show.

Jack Daniels Honey served as the sponsors; local designers were invited to display designs that were inspired by the color honey and/or yellow.  Additional vendors were It Works Global, The Peddlers Gallery, Wearable Art and Design, New Secrets, and Embella Adorn, LLC.

Attendees were in high fashion and taking Instagram pics!
