Fox 45 Morning News Segment: Spring Cleaning Products
The whole experience of being on television is new to me but also very exciting. It’s an aspect of my brand that I didn’t pursue (or imagine) but was presented to me through a public relations firm located in New York.
Please see the segment below:

When I am in the moment (and talking) I always like to deliver what the client/retailer expects, be professional, and look great to represent my brand.
In order to look great, I’ve discovered a few tricks to help “play up” my features while on camera:
1. I try to wear a color that compliments my skin tone and hair style.
2. My heels have to be very tall because I am actually short (smile.)
3. Manicures are normally a neutral shade because the segments are not about my nail art but the products and purpose of the segment.
4. I prefer to do my own makeup because at this stage, segments happen early in the morning so there’s very little time to sit with an artist.
5. My garments have a unique fit to my body type….no room for sagging sleeves or tops sliding off my shoulders.
6. Most importantly, I remember to smile and try to do my best!

Event Recap: Fashion Awards MD 2013
Photos from this year’s Fashion Awards MD event are posted below. I was super excited to be a nominee, especially since this blog has only been active for one year (hooray!) In addition, every nominee in the media category was very talented, so for me (personally) it was truly about the experience and being amongst those who share the same “love” which is fashion, art, and style.
The event production was also nice from nominees standing on the red carpet, to guest enjoying refreshments, and the opportunity to network with industry professionals. Lastly, to give this event the fashion flair that it deserved Lana Rae (the event founder and owner of the KIS Agency) was able to have Lianca and Johnny from Kimora: House of Fab serve as the awards show host.
I look forward to attending this event again next year. For additional details click on the link: Fashion Awards MD.com Photos below are taken from my Instagram account.

Polka Dot Prints: The Latest Obsession
Polka dots have become my latest fashion obsession. There’s something about combining this pattern with a bold color or dainty accessory that makes it a great fashion look.
And polka dots (in today’s design) can be seen in a variety of hues and textures. This pattern basically goes with anything!
To my surprise, I was able to find a “delectable” pair of polka dot jeans (with a zipper on the side.) I instantly gravitated towards these jeans because I have never seen a pair (of jeans) in this pattern and of course they were a great price.
At that time, I wasn’t quit sure how I would wear the jeans but I knew they were a good purchase. Luckily, after brining them home I discovered several options for my new polka dots jeans.
For me, the most important point to remember about polka dots is that this pattern can refresh any wardrobe and be worn year round. Whether a summer blouse, cashmere sweater, or fitted blazer, polka dots are a fashion must have.
