How To Elevate Your Look

Do you ever just get bored of your current look and want to do something different and fun? Elevating your look, aka – changing it up, doesn’t need to be expensive, and you don’t have to do anything too dramatic either. Style and beauty all come down to one thing – how it makes you feel. 

 

When you feel confident in what you wear, your hair and even your lip color, you will feel like you can take over the world. But if you’re feeling like your look is tired or just that you want to change what you are doing right now, here are a few tips to help you elevate your look.

Tailoring 

The first and most important person in your life when it comes to elevated fashion and style is a good tailor. A good tailor will be able to make almost anything you purchase look like it was made just for you. 

 

They can adjust sleeve length, improve shoulder seams and inseams, and move buttons to be more flattering; plus, many have the skills to make clothing too. 

 

Look for recommendations and reviews for your local tailor, but be prepared to travel and book for the really good ones. 

Salon

The difference between a good hair salon and a great one is the staff. Look for highly-skilled, innovative staff that have a wealth of knowledge. But perhaps more importantly, ideally, you want to have a choice of services too.

Beauty

Spring Style: Update Your Wardrobe on a Budget

With warmer weather on the way, it’s time to ditch the boots and coats; bring back day dresses, cute cardigans and sandals! The turn of the season is always exciting for fashion lovers, although constantly updating your wardrobe doesn’t come cheap. However there’s a way you can look great every day without having to buy excessive clothing items and spending a whole lot of money- and that’s with a capsule wardrobe. Here you have a limited amount of pieces but which all work together and can be mixed, matched and worn in different ways. That way you don’t feel like you’re always in the same thing. Staple Pieces

Staple pieces are your main items of clothing. For spring this could be a couple of day dresses, some light tops, some jeans, skirts and shorts. If you pick a color scheme and stick with it, for example, pastels each item will work with everything else. Alternatively, you could go with neutrals and add color to each outfit with accessories.

Jackets

Bear in mind for spring that while the sun has finally made an appearance, it can still be quite chilly on some days. Light jackets and cardigans are needed, so you don’t end up freezing half way through the day! Choose colors that go with your staple items, or again go with a neutral like white or gray, which will go with anything. Jackets can be worn for most of the year so it might be worth spending a bit more money on. Accessories

Accessories are so important, especially when it comes to capsule wardrobes. When you’re not wearing lots of clothing items, accessories can dress each outfit up or down and make it look different every time. Some statement necklaces in spring colors, some scarves, sunglasses, and handbags are key accessories. A plain swing dress (for example) could be worn with a necklace and heels for the evening. The perfect way to switch things up is to wear a cardigan, flats and scarf.

Makeup

Finally, it’s not just your wardrobe you need to update for spring, but your makeup bag too! Choose lighter base products and foundations, and bronzy peach tones to warm up your complexion with blush and bronzer. Peach, coral, and light pink lipstick shades work well, although make sure you keep your skin tone in mind. Deciding whether you have cool or warm undertones is the first step, then choose lip shades with complementing undertone colors.

CAMUTO GROUP and Ownership of SOLE SOCIETY
