Motions Hair Care Products – Official Hair Care Sponsor for Think Like A Man Too

Think Like A Man Too came out in theaters today and I am looking forward to seeing this movie. All of the characters are hilarious and who doesn’t love to watch Kevin Hart on the big screen.

To my surprise and excitement, Motions was the official hair care sponsor for the movie. I was one of the lucky bloggers to receive a package filled with a plethora of new products. And honestly, every product that was sent smells heavenly and has done wonders for my tresses!

Because my hair is natural (4B texture to be exact) I have a difficult time finding quality products that hydrate and grow my hair. Although I love being a naturalista, I don’t consider myself to be a product junkie because once I find something that works, I generally stick with that item.

Since receiving the products, I have loved using them and my favorites out of the bunch are the Shine Enhancing Pomade, Deep Conditioning Masque, Define My Curls Creme, and Radiating Hair Gloss. In addition to sending products, I also received a personal style card from Rihanna’s hair stylist, Ursula.

Once my hair grows a bit more, I will share photos. I hope that everyone will start their “sexy” summer by seeing the movie and try out the wonderful new hair care products from Motions.

Last night was a beautiful moment for celebrities, stylist, and designers. We all felt the magic of Old Hollywood when Lupita Nyong’o wore a stunning blue gown and loved seeing Kate Hudson’s side swept hair.

And it was not only a stunning night for fashion but a time of inspiration when Lupita stated, ” No matter where you are from…your dreams are valid!”

Beauty Box 5 February Subscription and Fun Products

My monthly subscription from Beauty Box 5 arrived and I was pleased to receive all of the goodies in this month’s box.

The company sent over Every Beauty Makeup Remover Pads, Rockstar Nail Polish, Elizabeth Mott Mascara, H20 Plus Spa Hand & Nail Cream, and John Frieda Shampoo/Conditioner.

I was super excited to use the Elizabeth Mott Mascara because I actually needed to purchase a new tube, so my subscription box came right on time. And the product lived up to my expectation: no clumps, goes on smooth, and wears well through out the day.

The Rockstar Nail Polish was actually one of the first items that caught my attention due to my love of the color pink…the nail sprinkles and I am excited to have my “caviar” nails done!

And of course, I welcome receiving any new hand cream because there’s so much dry air this season. To sum it up, I am enjoying my subscription and will post an updated photo of the nail polish once I have my weekly manicure.

Take Your Natural Hair up a Notch – Lupita Nyong’o’s Golden Globes 2014 Look by Celebrity Hairstylist Larry Sims!

Larry started Lupita’s glam look by liberally applying Smooth ‘N Shine Go Pro Curls Curl-Licious Mist to refresh and reactivate her natural curls.

Next, Larry used a rat tail comb to insert a dramatic deep side part on the right side of her head. He then took the part back to the crown of Lupita’s head and combed her hair to each side.
