CELEB EVENT RECAP: Sevyn Streeter & CEO Courtney Adeleye Unveil New Launches at SUR “Boss Up Brunch”

Recording Artist Sevyn Streeter and CEO & Founder of The Mane Choice Haircare Courtney Adeleye hosted a “Boss Up Brunch” at SUR Restaurant on Friday.

Courtney & Sevyn teamed up to host an afternoon of female boss empowerment, where leaders across many different industries gathered to network, enjoy the festivities and celebrate Courtney and Sevyn’s latest projects – The Mane Choice’s rollout of the Ancient Egyptian collection in Sally Beauty, and the first look of Sevyn’s highly anticipated album, Girl Disrupted, out July 7.

Both women were excited to share their latest work with a group of strong, influential females who are dedicated to making waves in their industries.

Celebrities and female “boss ladies” such as Estelle, Eva Pigford, Laura Govan, Miss Diddy and Malaysia were in attendance. They all enjoyed delicious food and cocktails and participated in the many activities including belly dancing, flower crown making, henna tattoos, selfie mirrors and more.

Macy’s Backstage Outlet Store Grand Opening

Macy’s Backstage is a new outlet store located in select cities.  The department store is one of my favorite retailers because Macy’s has something for everyone.

Last weekend, the store hosted their Macy’s Backstage Grand Opening at The Riverchase Galleria.  The event included music, gift totes, and a selfie booth. Local shoppers came out to the event; eager to partake in the sales and discounts.

For shopping clarity, Macy’s will continue to function in it’s normal capacity.  What does that mean? Macy’s Backstage is actually located within the original department store. The outlet is it’s own individual area with reduced merchandise and checkout.

Ultimately, Macy’s Backstage is an opportunity for customers to get their favorite products at a reasonable price.

Tips to Success From Business Superstar Boss in White

Born and raised in Beijing, Dese Enterprise CEO Yang Yang has years of experience globally that has contributed to her long-term success. Always dressed in gorgeous white, Yang Yang began her online empire with humble beginnings on eBay back in 2004 from her love of shoes. While working a second job waitressing, Yang Yang spotted a customer wearing eye-catching white fur boots which she fell instantly in love with.   • Naming her business: Yang Yang chose the name Dese Enterprise because in Beijing “dese” is street slang for amazing, beautiful or unique. Find something unique that resonates with your business and develop it into your own.

  • Best advice for aspiring entrepreneurs: “Go for it!” You’ll find a million reasons for not starting your own company, but you only need one reason to do it. What inspired Yang Yang was her desire to create a better life for the future family that she wanted one day. For everyone this reason is different, so find yours and go for it!
