The Still Point at Haven On The Lake hosted a media event at their new location in Columbia, Maryland. Invited guests enjoyed mini spa treatments, artisan vinegars, and the opportunity to participate in their exclusive Yoga Wall or Bare Essence class.
Overlooking a beautiful lake connected to Whole Foods Market, The Still Point in Columbia’s considered to be a wellness spa. Members and Non Members can partake in a variety of services to renew, restore, and rejuvenate the mind and body. For example, the wellness spa offers nutrition services to design a health program for individual needs. Manicurist perform natural nail services using Deborah Lippmann products (infused with healing ingredients and non toxic chemicals) and provide a therapeutic massage. If you’re searching for assistance with fatigue, weight gain, detoxification, and hormone rebalancing, The Still Point at Haven On The Lake has doctors on staff for Naturopathic Medicine.
In addition, the wellness spa offers traditional services such as a hydrating sugar polish, warm salt glow, contouring wrap, healing wrap, detoxifying wrap, and sunless tanning. I had a wonderful experience visiting the new location and indulged in a theraputic hand massage with Toma Skin Therapies products and exfoliation with epsom/sea salt. The aromatherapy from Toma Essential Oils also provided a relaxing scent when entering the wellness spa.
Haven on The Lake has become my new favorite wellness spa in the Columbia area. I am planning another visit (in the near future) to endulge in a renew manicure and acupuncture service. To learn more about Haven On The Lake click here and follow them on twitter for updates.

I was also challenged to host an at-home spa staycation for girlfriends; sharing the products with everyday women and encouraging the ladies to pamper themselves. I mean, who wouldn’t want to enjoy a luxurious spa experience at home? The first step (for me) was to research the necessities of having a fun and successful spa party. I decided to start with my first reliable resource…Pinterest.com
From there, I found tons of inspiration and started planning my at home spa event. I discovered this is a great party idea for anyone’s birthday, brunch, or girls – night in. All you need to host an at home spa staycation are candles, nail polish, lotions, towels, manicure kits, and cotton balls. And we can’t forget the delicious vegetable or fruit platters, cupcakes, and wine. Suave also shared some really cool DIY Body Scrubs for guests to create and take home.
Because I am a lifestyle blogger, I reached out to a few of my favorite brands to share products as gifts for my guests. The at-home spa staycation was a success and guests enjoyed making their very own DIY scrub and shared conversation (over wine) discussing individual at home spa secrets and beauty tips.
I strongly encourage anyone to host their own staycation with friends and try the new Suave Professionals Body Care!

Having the right accessories can do wonders for any fashion girl’s wardrobe. And although I’m a huge fan of precious stones and sterling silver jewelry, there’s nothing wrong with owning a well made CZ ring. The “secret” to wearing such a piece is to select an item that will accent your hands or manicure.
Anjolee.com is a fine jewelry manufacture where customers can purchase diamond/gemstone earrings, necklaces, pendants, and wedding sets. The company has free shipping in the U.S. and a 30 Day Return Policy. I was excited to review the beautiful Diamond Eternity Ring and add this piece to my jewelry collection.
The ring arrived in a gorgeous wooden box which is perfect for storing the diamond piece. This anniversary ring can also be stacked with other rings and comes in gold, platinum, and in five different sizes.
The Diamond Eternity Ring ring is truly a flawless piece of jewelry and completes your everday look with classic elegance. To view more of their products and purchase your very own Diamond Eternity Ring visit their site: Anjolee.com

Fall has finally arrived which means that it’s time to put out our new decor. And this is actually my favorite time of the year, with warm memories of drinking pumpkin spice coffee, picking out Halloween costumes, visiting the local pumpkin patch, and enjoying my mother’s delicious Thanksgiving feast.
When deciding to decorate, a few quick tips can get our creative juices flowing and bring joy to our homes. For starters, one must decide on the look they’re trying to achieve and the area in their home they would like to showcase. Personally, I always like to accent my front door, dining table, and entertainment unit.
Below are Quick Tips for decorating your home with Fall decor in just 30 minutes or less:
1. Visit your local craft store, discount store or dollar store for items. Normally around this time of the year companies will share coupons or run sales on Fall products.
2. Decide on the theme for your home – whether you love pumpkins or leaves, using a theme can serve as a great guide.
3. Always start with a budget! And this can vary depending on your lifestyle but operating without a budget can yield poor results and over spending.
4. Use unconventional ideas to gather supplies. Items can be found in your backyard such as leaves, acorns, sticks, wood chips, and tree bark.
5. Spruce up an old wreath with a simple bow or (again) leaves from the landscaping. Don’t forget to use garland on the fireplace mantal. You can create look this with leaves or purchase from a craft store.
6. Additional Fall decorating tips are: purchase a new place setting and add to the look with a table runner and candles; find creative ways to decorate a pumpkin with sharpie pens or decoupage.
And if all else fails, look at the nature around you for inspiration…it’s our best teacher!
I wanted to share photos from the Master’s of Materials event hosted by Sonje Products. She’s one of the best event planners in the Baltimore area – ranging from non profit galas, private government affairs to celebrity centered shows.
Fashion to Figure, America’s leading trendy plus – size fashion retailer, announces the opening of their newest Baltimore brick and mortar store at White Marsh Mall. In celebration of their latest location, Fashion to Figure partnered with curvy fashion blogger and Baltimore native Denise Caldwell, hosting an in-store summer style soiree last night.
The FTF in-store Fashion Stylists along with Denise were on hand sharing their style expertise with guests. In store promotions were offered to shoppers including up to 50% off merchandise.
“A major look of the evening was floral,” shared Denise. “It’s one of my favorite key trends of the season! It’s refreshing and also a mood booster. Don’t be afraid to mix patterns. My favorite slimming style tip is to wear mixed colors like shades of purple, navy, cobalt and pastel blues together that have the same base tone. FTF is a great spot. I always leave feeling confident.”
The retailer’s 26th store opening continues rapid national expansion for Fashion to Figure. Started by the two great-grandsons of Lena ‘Lane’ Bryant, Fashion to Figure was founded with the mission to make people’s lives better through the ultimate full-fashion experience. FTF is the only fast fashion retail chain solely focused on women sizes 12-26 and is dedicated to giving this set of women access to on-trend, up to the minute styles at accessible prices.
“We are thrilled to be opening our eighth store in Maryland and our third in the Baltimore area”, said Michael Kaplan, Co-Founder and CEO of FTF. “We started Fashion to Figure to make a meaningful and positive difference to people within the US, and we are excited to expand within Baltimore as a whole. We believe fashion is a state of mind not a size range and we are excited to bring our approach to White Marsh Mall and a new community of guests.”
The FTF White Marsh Mall location is now open to the public at 8200 Perry Hall Blvd. All clothing ranges from sizes 12 – 26, and all merchandise is under $50.
