2017 Jeans Industry Trend Watch You Don’t Want to Miss

Jeans have been around for over 140 years, but even along that journey there have been changes along the way. New trends bring with them styles and options that help to create a look and define an attitude. The same goes for the 2017 jean trends that will be hitting the market in the coming weeks and months.

“There are some exciting jean fashion trends that are on the horizon,” explains Jonathan Greenberg, chief operating officer of Swat Fame Inc., who manufactures the popular STS Blue line of jeans. “They will give people a chance to show their personality, as well as add to their personal style.”

The 2017 jean fashion trends to watch for include:

  • All about the ankle. Jeans that are ankle length and have ankle detail will be a big hit in 2017. Variety will be everything on inseams ranging from 29-26; such as a step hem, curved hem, raw hem, and fray hem. A perfect opportunity to highlight your new shoes.
  • This is going to be huge this year. STS Blue will be debuting some trendy yet affordable ones at the beginning of the year, with more to be showcased in May and June.
  • Authentically Vintage Washed. People love how the 100 percent cotton gives the most authentic looking vintage wash, but it’s not the most comfortable. In 2017, look out for a super relaxed short in 100 percent cotton that is still comfortable to wear, but looks like a vintage pair of shorts.
  • Black is back. The color black has been a huge trend all year and will continue into 2017. STS Jeans will be offering a few cool black shorts, one with a cut out embroidered detail and one that is faded, destroyed and very lived in.
  • Deconstructed Boyfriend Jeans. Watch for super destroyed jeans that feature wide-open holes. These jeans will make a statement with one glance.

America’s Next Top Model Season 23 – Episode 3 Recap

Last night on America’s Next Top Model the contestants received their signature makeovers.  Cast members were encouraged to be comfortable with their bodies; participating in a nude photo shoot with renown photographer Ellen Von Unwerth.

 

 

Everyone did not have the same level of enthusiasm while others embraced their new hair change. According to the panelist, Courtney, Tash, and Paige had the best model makeovers.

Cherish was uncomfortable with the challenge; refusing to dye her hair.  She was eliminated due to the awkwardness of her challenge photos.

Next week contestants will learn “key steps” to social media branding from DJ Khaled and Jasmine Sanders.

New Year’s Eve Party Prep – Start Now

It seems like just yesterday that we were getting into the Christmas spirit and now, it’s pretty much upon us. Aside from the food that we’ll eat and the presents that we’ll share, that only means one thing: New Year’s is right around the corner. The Holidays can be a busy time to prepare for, but they don’t just end when the clock strikes midnight on December 25th. In fact, for some people, they just get into full swing. So, why not think about getting prepared now?

You’re probably all ready for Christmas. You’ve got your candy cane nails on, the presents are wrapped, and the food is all planned out. So, now is the perfect time to get ready for your New Year’s Eve plans. You might even find that some of these preparations prepare you more for Christmas itself. With the range of delicious food and even a little champagne, it’s like that our bodies are going to be a little relaxed over the Holidays. It can also apply to our skin. When we’re indulging more and working out less, it starts to show all over our face. So, combat that now and do your best to fight away and problems that could pop up. Now that you’ve got an outfit sorted and you’ve had a play around with your makeup, you’re going to want to think about your hair. If you’re planning on having it cut or a new color applied, head to the salon and get your appointment confirmed. You might even want to get any style changes done now, just to make sure that you like them ahead of the night. If you’re thinking of having it styled, then booking it now will make sure that your slot is reserved.

Get In Shape

The year isn’t over yet, so if you’re still a pound or two off of your New Year’s Eve target, you’ve still got time to get in shape. You might not be able to see a complete turnaround, but there’s still time to get in some running and weight training. You never know, your final efforts could be the ones that make you feel incredible or finally make you fit into that dress. So get your mind in the game and stick at it!

And finally, the last appointment that you might want to make will be for your nails. America’s Next Top Model Season 23 – Episode 1 Recap

America’s Next Top Model returned for a new season in New York City.  Rita Ora served as the host for this season’s challenge along with co-hosts Ashley Graham, Drew Elliott, and Law Roach.

After years of being a fan of the series, I was excited to see a new panel. Each panelist provided guidance and mentorship to the contestants.  ANTM Hosts also shared expectations of each model along with insight into the fashion industry.

Last night’s episode was an introduction of each contestant; sharing their background and taking photos for the first challenge.

I enjoyed the selection process and uniqueness of each contestant. There was also a range of (beauty) diversity from natural hair, full eyebrows, and a set twins.

The selection process was not based on being a pretty face but the ability to become a fashion brand.  What does that mean? Contestants should exemplify the concept of having beauty and brains!
